I got a puzzling mail the other day.
It's not that uncommon that you get out of office replies when spammers use your domain after the at-sign. That is, if a mail has slipped through the spam filter.
But I can't get my head around this:
STOP SPAMMING!!!!! This is not a monitoried e-mail account that you have sent a message to. You are getting a automatic reply because someone has used your e-mail address for the purposes of SPAM most likely.
The dude seems to have time to read some part of the manual and yet lack the time to think.
Either you bounce the mail or sent an email equivalent to a 404.
What am I supposed to do with this?
I mean it starts with "stop spamming" like the admin lack the brain to understand that spammers aren't known to use their personal address as "from" or "reply to".
Still he is confident that it is spam and not a mistake.
Then comes a small part that gives you a hint in the direction towards an invalid recipient.
If it some one may have misspelled the address.
After that, the admin flips the coin and suddenly acknowledge knowing about spammers habit of using other persons email addresses.
In my opinion, knowing about that last part is a valid reason to change the first part of the letter.
The best part of it all is that the email wasn't a reply at all. It was an automated mail.
So it lacked all interesting information in what may have triggered this screwed up function to trigger.
As reported some one gave Ted Stevens an enema. Gone is his personal plumbing problem and away went his crazy talk about clogged up tubes.
But in case he or anyone else in the future gets to full of shit I found this fine tuned instrument that will un-clog any stuffed up tube for good.
