Welcome to the jungle

I don’t like bugs or creeps, I’m not used to them. Where i come from most bugs live outdoors.
Yes, I have had big spiders in my apartment back home before, bigger then this one.
But this is not about spiders.

When you live in a large conurbation like I do today, its easy to forget that this was once a jungle. Most wild life has starved or got run over long time ago, others have adapted.

Today I was changing clothes in the bedroom, the light was turned off. I was aiming for my pants on the pile of evening garments. I reached out with my left hand and grabbed a lizard.
He got so scared he didn’t even had time to shit himself. Me, I saw my heart jumping out of my throat about 2 feet over my head, where it hovered for a moment.
Oh, my! I thought, it stopped. That’s not good, not good at all.
It got me a bit worried on top of the scare from the chock of squeezing a slithering lizard without prior notice.
But when it fell back in place it was up and running double time, so I could go back to just being scared.
Right about here i started to realize what just happened and my fear of creeps kicked in.
I stepped a few times in the air and my body was shaking like it wanted to get rid of anything clinging to it.
Eeew creepy! But the same time smooth and a bit squishy.
I shook my pants, calmed down, named him Bob and thought:
Darn, i didn’t get any picture of him.

So you have to make due with this spider instead.
